Having already ridden around the world, written my book ‘Bearback, The world overland’ and become tired of work, we simply ached for another adventure. Where better than Africa?

Armed with a simple video camera, alone and entirely unsupported, 2-up on our motorcycle The Bear, we set off across this wildest and most unpredictable of continents to ride across the Sahara, through the Congo and on to the Cape of Good Hope. The resultant film, with its all-African soundtrack and hard-won footage, shot-from-the-hip, showcases an Africa few will ever see.

Beguiling landscapes, challenging terrain, extraordinary interactions with the indigenous peoples of Africa, real and raw, this film offers a truly unique opportunity to see a part of the world that is disappearing before our very eyes.
